I just uploaded two new icons to my usericons and when I had to fill the "description" field, inspiration struck me:

Lets make icons based on descriptions. There are no visual inspirations this time, only words. Some of the descriptions are very specific, some are very vague. I hope there'll be something inspiring for everyone!

OMG, you really need to write a tutorial on how to use comics/anime figures for icons. Your set is stunning! I love the lighting and colors in this set. You did a great job using the descriptions for each one! I love the coloring and lighting in 2, the composition in 3, the vibrancy/texture use in 4 and the lighting and composition in 5!

I can't quite tell which description these are based on. The last one (and... I guess maybe the first one too) could be "The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dalí a surreal landscape featuring distorted objects" - but the second one? The water lilies maybe? Are my guesses close?

I love the vibrant colors in all three, and the first one especially looks like a face, I love it.

a) I think you should strive to take the whole description - like there should at least be *another person* inside the black silhouette, it doesn't have to be a white silhouette, but something should be in there.

b) yes, absolutely, you can change out the person, so you can icon someone with distinctive makeup and hair.
