tinny: Eve Baird leaning on gears: "high maintenance" - originally a Harry and Sally quote (__high_maintenance eve)
[personal profile] tinny posting in [community profile] icontalking
I'm a little bummed that [community profile] somein30 is no more. It joins a long, long list of icon challenge comms that existed on LJ and DW over the last 25 years.

Since I'm already running three challenge comms, I don't feel up to running another one - the creation of the challenge/inspiration posts is always the most time-consuming part.

But then I thought to myself, what if we just did some old challenges again? Creating a new challenge comm where existing challenges from old challenge comms are re-done, one each month, from a different comm each month.

say it's great that people are still having fun with challenges that were created ten years ago, and it's a sign of honoring their quality?
Exactly!

Preserving the original posts would be neat. And maybe add newer inspiration?

Sorry, true *hides*
Or invite people to share inspiration that would fit in the comments? Let people add some stuff and then post a reminder to say "Look, we have some newer inspo, too."
