I've been extremely busy this past month, maybe you've been the same...

This year, we've had six makers sign up, but this is the first time that we've had no requests at all.

If you'd like to use the opportunity now to ask one of the makers something, you're welcome to do so.

If you're a maker who'd really like to write a guide or a tutorial, how about you pick the icon you've made (maybe this year? or in the last 12 months?) that you yourself find the most interesting and write a tutorial about it to share with us. I for one am always happy to read guides and tutorials.

I will leave the round open for another week and then move on to the next activity.

If you want to make icons instead, our list is up to date, and the waterfall round is still open until then, too.

We've written a few tutorials over the years here, but most of the tutorials are still on lj, and most of them are still available today.

There's a text guide by absolutelybatty relatively at the top. But to be honest, I checked all the text tutorials I could find through there, and there are none about *background* text that I saw. Maybe someone else has more luck unearthing one. I know my personal favorite maker who loved to fill backgrounds with text was kitamikeita. I don't think they've ever written any tutorials about it, though?

Here, I found one single tutorial (totally at random) where the maker put some text in the background: https://inksplashes.livejournal.com/10168.html - it's just one example, not a real guide for the technique, though.

About your third question:
