I love the soft velvety feel of the background, and the shadowing of the text - can I ask what font it it? It's lovely and clear...

The font is Aleo, one of my favorite icon fonts. It was made by Alessio Laiso.

OMG, you saved my sanity! I'm finally working on a layout again and was looking for webfonts, but Google only offers woff2, a format that refuses to work in FireFox. I had checked Fontsquirrel, but apparently looking at fonts with webfonts license wasn't enough, there wasn't an URL I can put in my CSS. I just clicked your link and discovered that this font has a webfont-kit tab (apparently I need to look for fonts that have all the licenses). Problem solved. Thanks!

Every time I go there to rec stuff, I end up with half a dozen new fonts. :D Totally unavoidable.

Ooh I love the way the text looks gradienty. I love it. ^_^ I need to watch Black Sails I bought the first season on dvd so I could watch it but I haven't yet...

Black Sails is so amazing it defies description. (Not the first season though, so don't be deterred by that. It gets better immediately with 2x01.) Lots of my flist broke out in squee when I told them I'd started watching it, and now I know why. :D

So, so worth it.

Made for the prompt pissed off at dailyicons. I was following a tutorial about how to make muted icons and I used my nemesis text... I'm quite pleased with it.

Oh, wow! I love how the extreme red is at odds with Spock's usual cool, and the text increases that contrast. Great job!
