Activity #62 - You've Been Framed

This month, we'll be doing a texture/resource-based theme: frames and borders!

Make icons that have frames or borders of some kind. Frames can be circular, square, open, closed, any shape you like. They can be large, small, bulky, or a single line around the edges of the icon. The frame can also be a feature of the cap, like a window or a door. Anything goes! I've provided some fitting resources under the cut:

I love the creative uses of frames in your set, especially the ones where the characters are standing in front of the frames (like 1, 6, and 9!)! I also really like the style of 4 with the border being a larger size of the image in focus within the border. Your use of fonts in 3, 5, and 6 are great and, as always, your coloring in all of the icons is fantastic! ♥

The first one is awesome! Great choice of cap, and I love the coloring! #4 is amazing, too, the composition rocks! I really like the subtle effect on #5 - the coloring is great for Vegas! I really like 7 and 9, too.

I really love the colorful vibrant border in #3 (he looks like he thinks he doesn't deserve it, lol :D), and the last one is very pretty!

I love the contrast in #1, and the subdued colors in #2 (very retro indeed!), and the last one is a great use for that border texture.

I really love how you've used the external set up and props used in the photoshoot pics as natural frames. <3 Icon 3 is my fav , coloring is great and the angle of the shot enhanced by the crop bang on !

Thank you! I actually had to paint a lot of the window frame in 3, because I wanted more window frame and a smaller subject than the image originally had.
