Activity #46 - Mystery Box

Welcome to our first Mystery Box challenge!

I created six different themed boxes, each containing 12 textures/images related to a theme. You can choose one:

1. grunge


2. light


3. paint


4. pastel


5. pattern


6. stock

You can also request a random box, then I'll choose one for you.

There's a comment thread where you can leave a comment to request a box. I will send you the download link for your box as a dm.

Note: I also need a box, and I thought it would be fair if I don't know in advance which box I'll be working with. The first person to answer my "Choose a box for me" comment gets to choose my box. negans chose the grunge box for me. Thank you!

Special rules for this activity:
* You have to use at least one of the provided textures for every icon you make
* You don't have to use all of the provided materials - if you want, you can make all your icons with the same texture
* It would be nice if you mentioned which resource you used for each icon, but it's not absolutely required
(the maker name is enough for me to identify it and link it in the result post - you dont have to link it yourself)

The usual rules:
* You can make as many icons as you like (if you need a goal, five is a good number :))
* There is no minimum, 1 icon is enough to enter this activity
* Please submit your icons (and URLs!) to this post, all in one comment (if possible)
* Everyone can participate, you don't have to be a member of this community

* I will collect all the icons from the comments and make a result post
* Everyone can leave comments on this post and the activity result posts
* There is no voting

Wow, you were fast! I love the blue/yellow coloring they've all got, and the deep vibrant tones work really well with the subtle way you used the textures.

All of the icons feature Ikoma in "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress". (Thanks for the proverbios31 texture, by the way! It immediately made me think of the glowing hearts of KotIF's zombies in the distance. I foresee further use for that in the future!)

Beautiful coloring and cropping in this set of icons. Especially loved icons 3, 4, 5, 8 and 12. Hair color looks really great in all of them. <3

I chose the Pattern box-very adventurous for me,haha,because I find them kind of hard to use! In 2 I actually used two patterns together and got that really cool effect!

The paint box was neat. But, I couldn't think of anything I really wanted to make painterly style icons about, so here are some meh icons of fantasy movies. The last two of Miss Peregrine were only made of the same scene because she's sitting in front of painting & I made a meh kind of choice. These icons are so boring sorry.😄 😐

That Maleficent icon is so gorgeous!The Atlantis ones came out so good,especially the colours in the Kida icon!<3 Love the 3rd Miss Peregrine icon!

This was fun! Thank you for choosing the grunge set for me. It forced me to make icons far outside my usual rut, and I like the results!

I used my set's grunge textures by these makers:

1) pure flames + kitz-love
2) pure flames
3) coy-dreamer
4) lookslikerain (although I removed that prominent line... but you can still see it in the alts)

I tried to use no other grunge textures than those from the set, but I didn't manage on the first one. The kitz-love texture required another high-contrast brush, and the pure flames texture wasn't quite enough. And of course the last one has a star texture that wasn't in the set.

Oh I love that star icon!The lighting and pops of colours are perfect!1 looks like they're holding hands and are about to dance! I love it!XD The crop in 3 is great!<3
