rizbef runs the activity, and she's always open to makers from dw participating.
If you don't have an lj account, your (anonymous) comment will be screened at first (or at least that's how it was last year). She's inundated with tons of comments for a large activity like this, but she's very welcoming and supports every maker who wants to take part in the activity.
