Since 42 is such an 'important' number, I thought we could make numbers the theme of this challenge.

We're going to take it literally, so this means your icons *must* contain numbers in some form. They can be in the original image or added as text or textures. They don't have to dominate the icon, they can be subtle or in the background. They can also be symbolic, like someone holding up two fingers.

Wow, those are all so cool! They look very complex, all of them.

I especially like 3, the yellow looks beautiful, and I am so impressed how you managed to put so many things in the icon and still make them look a) distinct and b) of one piece. Amazing.

My second-favorite is 4, the combination of glow with the crisp numbers and the almost-monochrome coloring looks amazing.

I really love the unnatural coloring and composition of 2, too.

These are simple, but I couldn't resist, the minute I read 'numbers' I thought of the Doctors :) The bases are all adapted from cover art for the Titan Doctor Who comics.

Oh, yeah, the doctors are really well suited for this theme. I love them all, they're all really beautiful, and the idea to make the text mostly transparent is great.

Forever iconning Alias! Or at least until Christmas, when I should be done with my rewatch and capping spree. That was fun, although the first of my categories was the hardest, because trying not to obscure the numbers inhibits my creativity.

Heee, I love when an obsession takes over. I always icon my current fave show, too.

I love the way you added the 47 in 2, that exclusion filter looks amazing in this coloring. The Guardian Angel one has awesome text and composition. <3

5XKatekyo Hitman Reborn,Coraline, 2 X Doctor Who

Katekyo hitman reborn associates numbers with most of the characters. 10 & 27 with Tsuna, 100 for Byakuran,18 for Hibari Kyoya, 80 & 59 for Yamamoto Takeshi & Gokudera Hayato, 33 for Sasagawa Ryohei so I used those in the icons. Coraline's expression was perfect for some math,lol and the DW icons are basically the 13th and 10th doctors so numbers yay!:D

Wee, that is a great way to use the numbers! I really like the 13th doctor one, the text is really creative! I really like 2 and 4 as well. The coloring in the 10th doctor one is amazing, too. Very retro.
