I fell out of iconning for over a year and half, so all my recents have been made this year
I can really related to that. I only started making icons again last month. But it's a lot of fun to get back into it. *g*

Do you mostly use icons you've made yourself, icons by others, or a mix?
I use mostly my own. Well, I don't have many icon spaces here on DW (or on LJ since I didn't pay for extra icon space), but I had like 90% my own icons. Mostly because whenever I watched something new, I'd want icons of a specific character or scene, and it was just easier to make them than hunt for them.

Do you perv on other people's userpics all the time? Tell em I'm not alone! :p
*cough* The first thing I noticed about your comment was the Middleman icon and I did a little dance because YAY! Middleman! :D But yeah, I also check out people's userpics and silently approve (or judge) their choices.

A lot of people seems to be coming back to iconning. Making me very happy :D

Mostly because whenever I watched something new, I'd want icons of a specific character or scene, and it was just easier to make them than hunt for them.

Yeah, makes sense. I rarely have the urge to icon in very big icon-fandoms, because there's so much good stuff out there, my average icons are just a useless addition to that.

So true! I have a lot of smaller/older fandoms that I love and a lot of the time there just aren't any icons around.
