Explanations of a technical nature
I have tried to figure out how to include different headers into the page. There are three options:
a) Javascript - the easiest and most common. Include a script into the page that randomly chooses one of the headers. This is unfortunately not possible, since DW (like LJ) doesn't allow their users to include javascript into their pages for security reasons.
b) CSS3 - this is theoretically possible. CSS is what makes web pages look good. CSS3 can do things like image sliders, and so we could have used that. But it would have meant rewriting the community style html to include all the headers, and then flip them using CSS code. It would have been possible, but I couldn't figure out the style coding in time. I would have done it if it was the only way, but fortunately, it's not. *g*
c) Image Randomizer Site - there are sites that offer exactly what we need: define a list of images to choose from, and the site will deliver a random image from that list. All the sites I had previously known have closed up, though. After some more thorough searching, I finally found one that (still) works: randimg.net
So we're going with the third option. I have uploaded all the headers to randimg. They're using imgur in the background. This means that the links you gave me don't have to stay active for this to work. The page headers will be loaded from imgur.
Here's the image link: try clicking the link. You will get a different (random) header every time you click on it.

Yay, success!

Date: 2017-09-25 01:13 am (UTC)I had a lot of fun doing this activity! I'd never tried to do anything like it before, and there were definitely things I struggled with (mostly text! but on the bright side, I think I'm a lot better at it now than I was when I started), but I'm fairly happy with how my headers turned out. And it was fun to see how different everyone's ideas were.

Date: 2017-09-27 01:31 am (UTC)(I spent so much time second-guessing the spacing. And the colors, especially on the teal-background one.)
