I wasn't aware one could make gifs with Photoshop, but good to know, I'll look into it, thankfully I have a Photoshop suscription right now. :) I'd totally appreciate the links for high quality gifs in Photoshop.
I'm still a little confused about the method... you said you were using the GOM player to capture the gif and then editing it in Photoshop (such as cropping, resizing, and editing the frames), but also doing them frame by frame in Photoshop? I just figured it must be pretty hard to first resize and crop the frames, and THEN attach them to each other, because they might not match, animation-wise, if the crop is not precise enough. Or do you use both methods, "pre-gif" and then edit for some icons AND creation from scratch in Photoshop for others?
As for the animated gif textures, are you using some available in Photoshop?
