We haven't had a straight-up technique challenge in a while! And I thought I'd make it a difficult one... :). Are you ready to challenge yourself?

Definition of chiaroscuro

1. pictorial representation in terms of light and shade without regard to color


2. the arrangement or treatment of light and dark parts in a pictorial work of art


3. the interplay of light and shadow on or as if on a surface


4. the quality of being veiled or partly in shadow

I really like the first two - very mysterious! The blurry lighting in the fourth one gives it a really sensual feel that works extremely well with black and white. I very much love the "diva" emotion in the last one, too.
