Activity #67 - Icon Wishlist
We're trying something new for the last challenge of 2022!
An interactive activity! Post a wish! Create things!
You can post your wishes in comments to this post. Wishes can be vague like "blue icons", or they can be more specific. If you like, they can be accompanied by word prompts, textures, screencaps, anything you can think of and want to see.
The wishes don't have to be for icons, even. You can also ask for icon textures, or for links to icon tutorials, or fonts. As long as the wishes are "icon-related", they're fine.
You can make as many wishes as you like. The more ideas the better!
ETA: Making a wish doesn't require you to make icons/anything. If you feel like you don't have the time or the skill to fill any of the wishes, you're not obliged to make anything. You can still make wishes!
ETA: I see that people are asking for specific (rare) fandom icons. If possible, please point us to where we can find caps of these fandoms. (I wouldn't even know where to start looking!)
We can then all make icons (or whatever else was wished for) in response to those wishes.
This isn't a secret santa kind of thing or an exchange, there are other comms for that. The comments aren't screened, and the resulting icons will be free for everyone to use.
That said, you're welcome to wish for icons that are specifically for yourself (e.g. you can ask for icons with your name on, or with your blorbo), just note that you won't *own* what other people come up with in response to your wishes.
There is no separate deadline for wishes - just that the closer to the end of the activity you post a wish, the less likely it is that anyone will have time to make anything in response.
You can use this as a chance to see other people make icons of your favorite topics, or you can just treat it as an opportunity to share some inspiration or prompts, or ask some questions. You can actually even make icons for your own prompts, if the inspiration strikes you.

That’s also why I’m making so many requests. I’m not greedy, really I’m not but I’m hoping someone might know at least one of these. :D
I’m particularly fond of sharp focus and/or saturated colours in icons. That said, I also like sharply focused black and white icons as well. I really enjoy ones that capture facial expressions and ‘captioned’ ones are a lot of fun as well – I appreciate humour in almost all its forms. I also love the pairings I’ve mentioned here right up in each other’s space, even if they’re not kissing (LOVE the kissing though).
The icon I’m using was made (badly admittedly) by me and shows some of the things I like.
1) Lee Soo-Hyuk icons. That’s him in my icon.
2) Seo In Guk icons. I particularly love him in Doom at Your Service and I Remember You but really, any icon of Seo in Guk would make my day.
3) Gong Yoo icons. Particularly love his look in Goblin.
4) Miss Truth. Would love any icon of Xiao Song and/or Su Fu.
5) Guo Jingming’s version of Yin-Yang Master. Would love any icon of Bo Ya and/or Qing Ming… I’m particularly fond of winged Bo Ya and of Qing Ming with his hair down and I’ll cheerfully admit it!
6) Old Fashion Cupcake. Particularly one of them together would be lovely – could be from a publicity shot where they’re inevitably more snuggled up together. :D
7) KeixYaku (TV) . SHIRO. Anything Shiro – love his tattoo. Something Shiro/Ichiro would be bloody lovely as well.
8) Ancient Detective. Icons of Ye Xiaoxiao and/or Madam Hei Wu. Together would be lovely but I don’t think there would be a suitable image to use.
9) Cherry Magic – My kingdom for an icon of Kurosawa eye crinkles. :D
10) Miss S Icons of Su Wenli. She’s marvelous and has some of the best facial expressions (and costumes!)
11) 롱타임노씨 | Long Time No See (TV) – icon of Chi Soo… and/or Chi Soo/ Gi Tae icon.
12) Manner of Death (2022). I would love an icon of Tan and/or of Tan/Bun.
13) Usually not my thing BUT anyone who can do something with this Maxtul publicity shot, bless you!

you may find a post relevant to Lee Soo Hyuk interests here. I particularly recommend the Elle vid of his morning stretch routine. :D
Kurosawa's eye crinkles may have become a cult following all by themselves. I certainly have a couple of friends equally addicted.
I love Old Fashion Cupcake (BL with adult characters? *gasp*) and actually have a weakness for Japanese BL in general which tends to talk about other relationships/life stages beyond the BL romance... well, like OFC does!

So far the only thing I'm seen them in together is Manner of Death but I loved it! I'm a sucker for mysteries anyway so this was a BIG bonus score!
I am becoming convinced that Kurosawa Eye Crinkles ARE the stuff that cults are made of... at least the great ones! ;D

I need to screencap Cherry magic, I've the episodes , but haven't capped it completely. Screencapping is a very fun process but it's also quite time consuming. :D

I adore how saturated the colours are and love the captions as well - Tan does look really suspicious in that 'Prime Suspect' icon. They are delicious!
I love both of these characters right from the first time they meet and Bun falls drunkenly into Tan's arms... yeah, drunk, that's a good excuse having already eyed him up in the car park! :D

There are so many gorgeous icons here and EYE CRINKLES AHOY! I really loved the cropping and colours here and that b/w image of the OFC actors is doing my head in... in the best possible way. ;D

I did see the cherry magic publicity photos last year because I was making a crazy amount of icons of it and they're sooo cute!Guess every time I watch something I gotta check on those too,especially for the J dramas!

I don't know the other couple but the coloring of 7 and the crop of 11 are great. N I love the coloring and lighting of 13, 14, 16 and 18. Composition of 16 looks very interesting. <3
