At the end of the summer vacation, I tend to look forward again at what the new semester will bring. It's a time for excitement, positive thinking, and focus on dreams and goals. In that spirit, lets icon things we aspire to. Those can be small things and big things, just a single thing or lots of different things, silly things and serious things.

In my life nothing has changed, I still aspire to the same boring things. Would be hard to find caps for those, and have I mentioned how boring they are?

I had however mistaken the newest iconthat challenge for a icontalking one, so I was planning to do the whole alphabet before I noticed it's a challenge in a comm that only allows five icons. So now I'm set on making the rest of the alphabet, you could say I aspire to it. Would that be an acceptable interpretation of the prompt?

You obviously put a lot of thought into this, and here in this comm, we're more focused on our sense of community than anything else, so, yeah, I like it. :D Go for it!

Wow, those are beautiful. They have a soft deep glow to them (a style I don't often see from you), which is a great mood for dreams. My fave is probably the beach one, because it's so dynamic, and I also like the depth of the library and the uniqueness of witchcraft and yoga.

The translation one cracks me up! I remember making a post about this when Alias aired, because the translations were often so bad! :DD

The composition and textwork of the innuendo one is A++! Gorgeous and hilarious!

I think I made this a little too easy on myself... I made six icons of Zhu Yilong:


1. make more pencil drawings again - I mean, I could have drawn something, but instead I just made an icon that looks like a drawing. Close...
2. Meet my friends face to face again. Not happening in the near future...
3. Just stay home on my couch with my laptop. Definitely happening a lot. Does that count as a dream, then?


4. Learn more Chinese, and maybe understand a bit more, sometime? Probably the most unrealistic of my dreams...
5. and 6. Zhu Yilong. Considering how much of my time I spend daydreaming about him, I had to include these. He's dreamy. *g*

I had actual x-words, but I wanted to make representative/meaningful icons for this challenge (because for some reason I keep getting overambitious and impose more restrictions on myself, as if the challenge prompts aren't enough) and "exes" was the most meaningful.

Couldn't resist making the translation icon, because Syd's look fit so well with it.

Those look great! My faves are the ones for innuendo, wink, glasses, Francie & Rambaldi symbol. I haven't watched Alias in a long time, maybe since it aired (I can't remember), but I think they should bring it back because I still need to know more about Rambaldi!

Thank you! I actually often draw on icons to give them a painted look. In this case, I first used the edges filter and then drew on top of that to clean it up and add some missing lines.
