Activity#32 - Textures!



I feel like making textures this month! Textures are the gift that keeps giving...! :D

This time, it's an inspirational activity, i.e. you can let the textures under the cut inspire you, but you don't have to stick to specific prompts.

If you've been meaning to turn those vacation pictures into textures for months (*cough like me cough*), you can do that!

Your textures have to be at least 100x100 in size, but they may be larger, too.

I've never made textures before, so this was something fun to try! If you have any advice/concrit, I will gladly take it! I have no idea what I'm doing lol.

I also noticed as I was posting this, my image site changed my file from a bmp to a png... I'll have to see if I can fix it.

Umm... I may have gone a tiny little bit overboard... :) but it was fun!

I made 5 texture packs, here are two 100x100 examples of each pack, plus the larger textures I made.
I posted everything to [community profile] icon_resources where you can download them separately, or as zip files from my deviantArt account [deviantart.com profile] TinnysArt.

The marble and architecture sets are made from my own vacation photographs.

The patterns are made in Photoshop and are inspired by the textures you all submitted and that I loved so much I wanted to try it myself.

I'm done \o/! I'm so done! I made masks for airbrushed backgrounds à la Sailor Moon (brush #3 is a version of the doily used in this image), but only heart-shaped ones for now.
