I'd like more fandom-specific icontests.

Oh wow!!I can totally imagine mommas going all about how you could use your talents in an 'useful' way.
But I do understand the bit about pressure of professional stuff,I get worried that I'll end up hating it or disliking art-sy stuff when it becomes work instead of fun.

15 yeaaaars?WOW!Haha,I used to have a hard time with animation stuff but recently I'm starting to get the hang of it so I've been iconing those myself quite a few times.

Really love your blending and animation!You seem to be getting better and better every time haha! :D That's really cool!
I think the POC representation is moving at a slow pace but it's getting there,like they're normalising it in many places without making skin colour the focal point. I usually end up watching things with female main charas,like Reign,Pretty Little Liars, Friendship types and all so I don't usually feel the lack of women or that they are't getting enough screentime and all.
When it comes to gay movies/series, it's hard to find ones that focus on developing relationships and so many of them end up tragic that I just read mangas for those and hope that they animate those some day because I think if they try making movies/series out of them,they might take away a lot.And I rely a lot on fanfictions for them. :3

Favourite Social media is probably instagram. :3

I adore tea and I like any sort of cold coffees but tea is jaan. :P

Icons, gif and artwork. Icons are really fun to make,gifs are time consuming but I like a well made gif. As for artworks,it's really nice to see different styles of people drawing the same character in their own ways.

And Zhu Yilong is really too cute,my instagram feed now shows so much of him,it's funny because I think I just looked up guardian tags one time and since then I've seen many of the ads and things he's in.
Text is great,alright but there's a lot of trial and error involved to find the right fit.

Not really a new concept, but I kind of liked the format of historamedy365 with a new prompt every day and a "deadline" of 48 hours. I know myself - if I have a set prompt table and a far-away deadline, I'm going to fill every single prompt in the last three days before the deadline.

Ooh, Buffy icons! What's your usual source for Buffy screencaps?

If I can't get the cap to look decent, I delete it. If it's a creative issue, I leave for later.

That's a good point. I didn't realize I was doing this until I thought about it. Sometimes I can't decide what to do with an icon so I usually end up making alternative versions and then decide which one I like best by looking at them side by side, but if I can't get the cap to become a decent icon base, I just give up on it and try another one.

What do you think about the current portrayal and representation of POC, Women or Homosexual community in movies and tv series ?? Are you satisfied ??

Satisfied, no. But looking back at what we considered progressive in the 90s, I can see improvement.

Favorite Books ??

Oh, I don't know about having favourites, but despite its faults, I still have a huge soft spot for the Harry Potter books. And I can definitely recommend Marie Brennan's Lady Trent Memoirs Series (starting with A Natural History of Dragons). It's a series of books telling the adventures of Isabella, dragon expert. She undertakes expeditions around the world to study different types of dragons.

Well. I spend most of my time here or on tumblr.

2. Tea or Coffee ??
If I have to choose between those two: tea. But I'm not generally fond of warm/hot drinks.

3. Favorite type of graphics ?? Icon/edit/gif/banner/picspam/art work ??
Icon and picspams and sig tags (300x150 banner type thing).

Umm can't really take a pick, there are too many graphicers at both LJ and DW that I absolutely admire and take inspirations from .

I just checked out missesglass on deviantart . Yup, you're right, very pretty icons, And yes I love lookslikerain textures - super vibrant , full of variety and all very pretty.

I also prefer close crop and vibrant . But I just looovvveee text . I insist on including text in my icons !

By reading all the answers , I realize that almost every one has been into icon making since much much longer than I am ! Gosh ! O_o I've a long way to go.

Many of my earliest try with icons are totally disastrous ! Urrgghh I cringe now looking at them. I messed up with sharpening and went over board with textures , without knowing how to properly use them in a small canvas like icons first.
Thank God since then I've gotten better at it. Still long way to go.

First of all , I'm a real fan of your icons ! I find them super pretty. I love vibrant icons, and the complexity and depth you bring is super cool.
Also, you and I are great minds and we think alike ! :D I'm a MCU addict and my current fav character is Vanessa Ives too ! O-o
I can get what you're trying to say , because at times I terribly suffer from lack of creative complexity ideas. Then I just cheat and go for simple icons by super close crop and hoping that I get the coloring right ! :3

1) Are there fandoms you'd like to see more icons of?
Stranger things . Also , more icons of horror based movies and shows in general , because I'm a Goth and horror freak .
Not part of fandom. But I'd really love to see talented people making more stock icons.

2) Any shows you love but never icon because the caps are too hard to work with?

The haunting of the hill house. Awesome show but super bad caps.

Aaaaah, yay, MCU but especially Vanessa :D She is everything. It had been so long since I'd been this moved by a fictional character!

I don't watch Stranger Things, though it looks pretty good and maybe I should give it a go! And you're right re stock icons. I never even consider making them, but they're fun to use, maybe I could make some :)

Yep. Usually I delete it and some times I might just keep it saved as an unfinished project.

Yeah, I like it better when I can think of a quote or a colour scheme that would go well with the character. On the other hand, when I have no idea what the story is about, I feel free to do whatever with the cap and it can be pretty fun as well ;)
