I updated the current challenges post, and added two new challenge communities:

iconthat R58 (Blue) - May 20th - up to 3 icons every two weeks
icontalking Activity 01 (Got Fandom?) - May 20th - 5 icons in three weeks

NEW challenges without regular deadlines

You can claim prompts/a bingo card and then make fanworks for each prompt/square:

tic_tac_woe - apocalyptic challenge comm open for icons info post here | claim a bingo card here
who_allsorts - claim 3/6/9/12/15/20 prompts and make Doctor Who fanworks (incl. icons)

Done. Except I'm going to the cinema today, so creating the community is literally all I've done so far. I'll work on it tomorrow and then let you know when it's ready to go.

Have you tried DeviantArt? That's about the only site I know for that kind of thing and it's been around forever. You can upload files with a preview image (that you can upload yourself) as the "cover". DeviantArt is where I got 80% of my textures before tumblr (and even then a lot of people link to their DA account).

I was afraid (or not :D) you'd say that. No, I don't have an account, but I think it would make sense to have one. I guess I'll look into that.

It's free to make an account. I have never used it to upload stuff, so I don't know what kind of limitations are on it, but I'm sure for the occasional texture upload it's fine. *g*
